J.J. Creegan doesn’t just lead teams; he builds momentum. With over 20 years of experience in wellness, hospitality, and multi-unit consumer services, he has scaled franchise empires, guided brands through complex mergers, and energized high-performance teams across the globe. At every turn, J.J. blends boardroom discipline with real-world grit, operating at the intersection of strategy and soul.

As the former COO of YouFit Health Clubs and current COO of Orangetheory Fitness, J.J. has helped grow brands with over 1,000 locations, nearly 300 franchise owners, and more than 15,000 employees worldwide. He helped lead Orangetheory’s network of 1,200+ studios through a global pandemic and a transformative merger with Self Esteem Brands, all while keeping franchisees focused and teams aligned. Earlier in his career, he helped build YouFit from the ground up, growing it to more than 100 locations and 3,500 team members.

J.J.’s leadership style is hands-on and people-first. In 2024 alone, his team completed over 2,000 in-studio visits globally, with J.J. personally visiting more than 100. He also led 14 national roundtables, bringing together over 700 teams to share, align, and grow together. His approach is rooted in the belief that sustainable success starts with empowered people and an aligned purpose.

He got his start stacking dumbbells at a early Planet Fitness for $6 an hour, a humble beginning that shaped a career defined by hustle, heart, and a deep respect for those on the front lines. Today, he serves on the board of the Health & Fitness Association and supports causes like Feeding America. He holds degrees in business management and marketing from Florida Atlantic University and is a proud husband and father of twins.
